Silver Lining

Through the broken desire
And a heart so full of fire
A mind that reasoned until it lost itself.

I stand in strandings
Desperation and pain stings,
then clings and smothers me each passing day.

A childish wonder
A deathless laughter
stupors and trips beyond repair.

Happy faces,
tender ways
Slip like evening breeze

Everytime I mend my broken past
The light shines through its cracks
And steals my smile

Everytime there’s mystery,
Reality
takes a backseat in my heart

O look across the window pane
The sun is bright, the morning’s whole
Look across the tainted eyes of youth
My heart is pumping like it’s June again.

But soon there’ll be peace
A heart that’s happy once again
And soon there’ll be love.
