Overdispersed

In my heart,
there are answers to the questions you can’t ask.
Through the breeze all day I wonder
what made me sunder
under this pain.
Though hearts were wounded,
Our minds found a way
to say
it happens in life.
Now I
can understand
how much you meant,
how much I wept.
And now I see
the hidden beauty
in your strength,
in your decree.
How much I owed,
How much was left;
How soon the threads
broke and swept.
How much I pondered,
the time I lost,
the dreams I kept aside,
thinking I will find the right time.
But time is cruel:
a finite fuel
that burns but seldom warns.
And there’s still pulse,
to resurrect
to shift the gears
and light the streets.
I’ll make you proud
But if I can’t,
I’ll fight the stands
And wipe my blood.
And if I make,
the kingdom’s here,
and each drop of tear
will find its fate.
