Hopes and Haps
Last updated: Mar 27, 2026Like the morning glow twinkling in your golden eyes
A twitter bracing the realms of endless skies
A bold step taken when fears of fate subside
Like the sundrops bleeding from the edges of the night
Broken promises like shards of vase on the floor
Me waiting for the moment he knocks on my door
But alas the wheels have rolled off and bushes stopped their crying
Leaving me distraught in slow and painful dying
If you knew me well you’d understand how the wound
Talks in thousand tongues and weeps in a million tunes
But like they say second chances never come to pass
Hope swells slow but passions ebb so fast
If silence were a weapon, I’d be dead by now,
Buried beneath the weight of every broken vow.
So let me meet my lost self and watch the shadows creep
And bargain with Morpheus while the city goes to sleep.
